The last few months have been incredible for Padel People, as we’ve continued to grow and bring the excitement of padel tennis to more players across the UK. With the launch of our new sites in Basingstoke, Hampshire, and Sedlescombe Golf Club, Sussex, the sport we love is flourishing like never before.
At Basingstoke, the padel courts, featuring two doubles courts and a singles court, have been buzzing with activity since day one. It’s been inspiring to see the local community embrace the game with such enthusiasm. Families are discovering padel tennis for beginners, while seasoned players are enjoying competitive matches that keep everyone on their toes. The mix of camaraderie and competition is exactly what makes padel tennis so special, and it’s been on full display this past month.
Sedlescombe Golf Club in Sussex has been another fantastic addition to the Padel People family. By pairing the elegance of golf with the vibrant, fast-paced nature of padel tennis, this site has attracted a diverse group of players. Some come straight off the golf course for a quick hit, while others make a day of it, enjoying everything the club has to offer. We’ve also been thrilled to see members of the golf club take advantage of their 25% discount on court bookings. It’s proof that this partnership is working exactly as we hoped.
Both locations have also helped us take the pulse of padel tennis growth. More and more people in Hampshire and Sussex are discovering the sport, and it’s no surprise why. Padel is easy to learn, accessible for all ages and fitness levels, and incredibly fun to play. Watching the courts fill up, hearing the laughter and cheers, and seeing players come back week after week has been a reminder of why we do what we do.
Beyond the courts, the community aspect has really stood out. We’re hosting beginner sessions, casual drop-ins, and even a few tournaments. These events aren’t just about playing padel; they’re about creating a space where people feel welcomed, supported, and connected. Seeing players cheer each other on and share a laugh over a missed shot reminds us that padel is about much more than the game.
Looking back, it’s clear that the last few months have been a major step forward for Padel People. As we reflect on the success of our three sites, we’re already looking ahead to what’s next. Whether it’s opening new sites, hosting more events, or simply encouraging more people to pick up a racket, we’re excited to keep growing alongside this incredible community.
