From Courtside to Campaigns: My Journey Through the UK Padel Boom

When I first picked up a padel racket just over a year ago, I had no idea how quickly the sport and my involvement in it would evolve. Fast forward 18 months, and I’ve had the privilege of working with two leading names in the UK padel scene: The Padel Hub and Padel4all. Each brought unique challenges and opportunities, helping me grow not just professionally, but personally too. Now, as I step into my new role as Head of Marketing at Padel People, I’m bringing all that experience and my passion for the game with me.

The Padel Hub: Building Buzz and Community

My journey began at The Padel Hub, a company deeply focused on creating a padel community both on and off the court. Here, I learned the importance of grassroots engagement. It wasn’t just about filling courts it was about building relationships, organising events, and making padel feel accessible to everyone. From social tournaments to content creation and early brand partnerships, I developed a deep understanding of how to turn a growing sport into a cultural movement.

Padel4all: Scaling Systems and Structure

At Padel4all, the game shifted slightly. With a broader reach and a more formal infrastructure, I was able to get stuck into scalable marketing strategies and creating new processes, whilst still keeping the community element close. This role sharpened my strategic mindset balancing the ambition of expansion with the authenticity that makes padel so appealing. I was involved in the launch of a brand new centre, I collaborated with coaches, centre teams and players, and saw firsthand how operations and marketing must align for sustained growth.

My Own Game: Still a Work in Progress!

Like many who fall in love with padel, I’ve thrown myself into playing. Whilst my game might not be improving as fast as I’d like (still finding the shots of the glass super tricky!), it’s the joy of learning that keeps me coming back. Being a player has given me a deeper understanding for our customers. I understand the thrill of a perfect volley and the frustration of a lost point and that helps me tell authentic stories in my marketing work.

Joining Padel People: What’s Next?

Now, as I join Padel People as Head of Marketing, I bring a blend of grassroots insight, strategic know-how, and genuine love for this thrilling game. My goal is to grow the brand with heart, amplifying what makes padel special whilst driving awareness and accessibility across communities in the UK. Padel People stand out in the UK’s padel scene by prioritising community, inclusivity and to date the strategic partnerships garnered through their current locations, the brand is in its infancy and hence many of the visual assets are yet to evolve so I am super excited to have the opportunity to help move and evolve the brand as we work on many new exciting initiatives across our padel places.  The game is growing fast, and I’m excited to be part of a team that truly believes in making padel for the people—not just in name, but in practice.

Whether you’re a seasoned player, a total beginner, or someone just curious about the sport, there’s a place for you in the world of padel. And I’m here to help you find it.
