What a way to kick off the kids summer holidays!
We have just wrapped up our first ever Kids Padel Camp here at Padel People Basingstoke, and we are still buzzing from two epic days packed with fun, learning, and non-stop action on court.
Running from 10am to 2pm over two days, our camp days welcomed a brilliant bunch of young padel newbies and enthusiasts, ready to level up their game and they did just that!
Each camp started with some high-energy warm-up games to get the kids moving and energised. The vibe was spot on from the get-go, with loads of smiles, friendly competition, and team spirit flying around the courts.
Once the kids were warmed up and raring to go, we got stuck into the core skills. Serving techniques and padel rules were first on the agenda, laying the foundations for everything to come. The kids really got into it, picking up some solid techniques and understanding how to play smart from the very first point.
Next, we tackled one of the most exciting (and unique!) parts of padel which is playing off the back wall. It was awesome to see the kids’ confidence grow as they got the hang of it. Mastering that bounce-back off the wall is going to be a total game changer for them moving forwards!
Then it was time to get sharp at the net with volleying and lobs. The focus and skill on display were seriously impressive and our camp kids were hitting like pro’s in no time.
To finish things off in true Padel People style, we ended with a round robin tournament that brought out everyone’s competitive edge. Fast rallies, tactical plays, and loads of cheering! This mini-tournament was the perfect way to wrap up two unforgettable days.
We are so proud of every single player who joined us. Whether they were totally new to the sport or already had previously played, they brought energy, curiosity, and loads of enthusiasm. A massive thank you to all the kids (and parents!) who made this first camp such a huge hit for us here at Padel People – what a success!
