The redevelopment of the Edgeway Road sports grounds has not yet been approved — and community support is vital.

At the heart of the plans is a brilliant new padel hub, with four covered and three outdoor courts, bringing one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports to Marston for all ages and abilities.

But padel is just one part of a much bigger transformation. The proposals also include upgraded football, rugby and cricket pitches, new basketball and netball courts, outdoor cricket nets, a community café, flexible rooms for local groups, running and walking routes, a golf simulator, refurbished pavilions, better paths, accessible facilities and major biodiversity improvements.

Right now, none of this can happen without planning permission.

Signing the petition shows planners that residents want these facilities brought to life — turning an underused, vandalised space into a safe, vibrant community hub.
